Do you realize that Father’s day is this Sunday?? Yep, only two more days left to let your dad know how much he means to you. How much you love him and how much he’s played a vital part of making you the person you are. Whew! How do you wrap that in a box, right?

When Summer arrives it seems as if kids have two things on their mind. #1 Sleeping in late and watching A LOT of television or #2 getting into all kinds of mischief outside. Neither of those options really strike me as appealing but I do realize that it’s just a part of childhood.

Seriously….my kids don’t scare me….much! But occasionally they really scare the socks right off of me…especially when we are in the middle of a Nerf blaster war!! Wow, wow and OUCH!!

Those two little twin girlie-girls are tough! Believe me, I’ve learned (quickly) to have them on my side. Now we all gang up on Daddy and that’s much better!

We received the Nerf Quick 16 Blaster from Hasbro recently and needless to say we had to get a few other Nerf guns for the war to be fair. It’s been fun!

When we received the Hasbro Quick 16 Blaster the girls were delighted. They have a boy cousin that has the coolest “boy” toys like water guns, Nerf blasters and darts. Of course, the girls being girls have a lot of dolls, barbies, littlest pet shop figures and stuffed animals. So when this arrived they were super thrilled and couldn’t wait to start blasting away.

Rules had to be established immediately as this  is a fun toy but could hurt someone if care is not noted when shooting the blaster. Definitely, without a doubt, never shoot this in the face. The darts are sponge-like but they do come out rather fast and could hurt your eyes or face. Always be safe.

The Hasbro Quick 16 Blaster comes with16 darts and the blaster. The pricing is from $19.99 – $23.99 depending on where you buy it. The Hasbro site has it for $19.99!
It’s a good size and fits the full length of my 7 1/2 year old daughter’s entire arm.

My only caution is not shoot the blaster too rapidly as we found the bullets sometimes lodge inside…and who really needs that during a Nerf war? Right?
