This was hard! Lol..I had to think about this one….so here are my humble offerings.

Definitions of foreign:

• relating to or originating in or characteristic of another place or part of the world
  
• alien
  
• extraneous

1) Cats. As much as my girls and I love them…they will always be “foreign” in our home because so many of our family members are extremely allergic. Sad, but true

2) Snow.  In my part of Southern California…every couple of years we may be blessed with a little snowfall but it is generally gone within a day.

3) Boys. With a ratio of 15 women (girls) to four men (boys)….the XY Chromosome is just not dominate in our family. If it wasn’t for the ones married in…we’d be extinct! They are definitely “Foreign” in our family tree.  (lol…so foreign…I don’t even have a picture of all of them).

This week’s subject challenge at Photo Hunt is “BROKEN”

OK, this subject challenge was hard. At least for me.

It’s been decades since my heart has been broken, I’ve never broken a bone (thank God!) and I don’t have anything broken in my home and frankly…it is just too darn cold to go outside to “hunt” for a photo.

So…I went hunting in my latest round of pictures. Here I present to you a “broken” cookie and a “broken” carrot left over from Santa.

It might not be the best photo….but hey! It’s broken!

This week’s subject challenge at Photo Hunt is “Average”

What popped into my head almost the instant I read this  was “me”…I am average.

I am not beautiful, nor am I ugly, I am not tall, nor am I short, I am not thin nor am I obese. I am not dumb nor am I brilliant, I am nor articulate 100% of the time nor do I fail at communication. I am not a gifted teacher, singer, scholar, bible teacher but I am not terrible either….I am AVERAGE

Before you think I am having a pity party…I have to remind you of the verse that popped in my head the second after I thought me!  Just exchange the word weakness for average and it’s perfect.

I don’t have to be anything but average, weak in my own self to glorify God….NOW! That’s worth being average about!!

2 Corinthians 12:9 – “Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.”

This week’s subject challenge at Photo Hunt is “SPOTTED”

I saw this beautiful painted canvas at our local county fair. It was painted by Vy Nguyen and it won 1st place.  I don’t know who the young painter is but I felt they deserved credit for such a great picture.  I took the liberty to crop it so that the ladybug would stand out better.
