How To Enter Giveaways | The IE Mommy

As The IE Mommy blog grows we strive to be better and more streamlined…so we have decided that is is necessary to create a more clear understanding of giveaway entry rules.

First and foremost we must stress: Read Each Giveaway Entry rules carefully…as each giveaway may be different.

The following are the basic entry options for most contests

(these may vary depending on company, product and campaign):

You must subscribe via email or rss to The IE Mommy
You need to follow on Google Friends Connect
You need to follow the IE Mommy on Twitter
You need to friend the IE Mommy on Facebook

Depending on the company…

You may be requested to follow on Twitter, Like on Facebook and/or visit their sites for specific questions,opinions or entries.

Tweeting:

If a tweet is mandatory then you must tweet that contest. Failure to do so will eliminate your opportunity to enter the contest and all other entries will be invalid. Tweet wording is always provided.

Optional Tweeting is often suggested as a way to earn Extra Entries. This will be limited to one tweet per day. You must leave the tweet link in the comment section in order for the entry to count.

Mandatory:

When entries are listed as mandatory then that is what they are. Please do all mandatory entries. If you do not then please expect your entries to be ineligible. All steps must be taken in order to participate in the giveaways.

Mandatory Entries are required because it is the goal of The IE Mommy to not only bring you wonderful giveaways but to assist the companies that provide those opportunities in building their client base, brand imaging and name recognition as well.

Winning:

Starting 05/23 a reader may enter all giveaways available at The IE Mommy but can only win one per batch.

In other words if there are four contests with the same starting and ending period…you may enter all of them. But you will only be eligible to win one per batch. That will be whichever contest your names is chosen for first.

You may win more then one contest within a day as long as each win has a different giveaway period.

If another batch of contests ends the next day…you will be eligible once again to win. Therefore you could win multiple contests in one week but not in one batch.

Example:

Three contests are posted during the same day (e.g. May 12) and end on the same day (e.g. May 22). One contest is for jewelry, one is for makeup and one is for clothing. You are eligible to enter all of them. When names are chosen…if your name is pulled for the jewelry giveaway then you can not win for makeup or clothing. Likewise if your name is chosen for the clothing you will not be eligible for the jewelry or makeup.

Choosing Winners

Winners are chosen using Random.org

Claiming Prizes:

It is your responsibility to claim your prize. I will not send out personal emails to the winners. Winners will generally have 72 hours to claim prizes. This time frame is not set in stone and may fluctuate a day or two depending on my scheduling.

You must provide me with your name, mailing address and any other necessary information by midnight of the date specified in order to claim your prize. Failure to do so will eliminate your win and you will forfeit your prize. There are no exceptions to this. Please do not email me after this time frame requesting your prize.
