TrackBack Address.

With Galactus defeated and Dr. Doom moping behind bars, Super Hero City is finally safe — that is, until Thanos goes in search of the powerful Infinity Gauntlet! Although they are without their comrade-in-laughter, Silver Surfer, the Super Hero Squad — Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Wolverine and Falcon — must once again come together to take on any villain that threatens the peace and safety of the Marvel universe . . . no matter where it might take them!

Packed inside each DVD is a unique code that offers a free one week trial subscription to play Super Hero Squad: Online at HeroUp.com, plus coins to play with and a Silver Card Booster Pack.

My Thoughts

The Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, and Wolverine are some of the heroes that are involved in, The Super Hero Squad Show: Season 2: Volume 3 brings the heroes near its conclusion with its miniseries, “The Infinity Gauntlet.”   The super Heroes face off against the evil Thanos, who is trying to consume the powers of the cosmos. The power comes from a mystical glove that has several gems that are needed to activate is powers. The heroes try their hardest to keep Thanos from obtaining the gems and obtain peace in the Marvel Universe.

The Super Hero Squad is one of my son’s favorite cartoons and I enjoy watching it with him. Super hero fans have always loved when super hero’s team up to battle the villains. Not only is it awesome to see classic heroes like the Hulk, Thor and Iron Man but it’s cool to have new heroes like Falcon, all in one show. The Super Hero Squad is directed to kids, making the action and language appropriate for them and still enjoyable for adults.  The cartoonish heroes are exciting, funny and kid friendly. The Super Hero Squad also brings some humor and lots of adventure for all ages. The Super Hero Squad gives fans the opportunity to watch this amazing team consistently with T.V. episodes, DVD movies, toys and video games.  The Infinity Gauntlet, volume 3 is another part of the fantastic dynasty.

The Battle is The Lord’s (Faithful Tuesday Post)

Posted in All Things Faith, Faithful Tuesdays, IE Daddy Division by The IE Mommy
Mar 29 2012

As a Christians every day we are supposed to put on our armor, helmet and sharpen our spears to battle the devil and his schemes. When I first accepted the lord, the fire burned in me and I was ready to take on any battle. My armor was strong, my sword was sharp and I was positive about myself. Through the everyday battles, big or small, I fought proudly till God got me through them.  Through the battles I thirsted to build my relationship with God and thrived on sharing his love with others. Even though I fought some big battles I have never felt defeated or fatigued till recently.

These last two months I have felt so beaten. Mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually I was drained. The everyday battles seemed to wars and I was losing. The biggest problem I faced was sleep deprivation. I struggled for weeks to get at least two hours of sleep a night. At random times I would wake fully energized thinking or dwelling on random things. It got so bad that I started taking a couple of different sleeping pills but those didn’t work. Because of the lack of sleep I found myself tired throughout the days witch lead to more problems for me. I unconsciously found myself secluding myself from my wife, son family and friends. I was physically there but not emotionally or mentally. My body took its share of pain from simple bruises to sprains to a cold that I still cannot shake. Feeling so beaten, lost and drained I struggled to find hope.

I constantly prayed and read my bible but still felt or saw no change. I know this was a test, another way to show Gods love and grace. I struggled to find rest, answers and the patience to get through these attacks. I finally saw the doctor about my sleeping deprivation and he diagnosed me with a mild case of OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). To help me get sleep the doctor prescribed me some pills and most importantly told me to ask for prayers from friends and family. Taking pills was not a big deal but asking others to pray for me was harder than I thought.

I don’t like telling everyone my problems or letting people know my personal business but I really felt I had to. I know my family prays for me always but I felt I need others to pray for me so emailed some friends. I openly told them my about my lack of sleep do to the OCD and asked them to pray for me. I was over whelmed by the response of positive thoughts and prayers. That night I fell asleep easily and even though I only slept about 4 hours it was more sleep then I’ve had in a long time.  I felt at ease and secure because I knew I had friends and family really praying for me.

That was it! That’s what God was showing me! Through our everyday battle, God equips us with our bibles (sword) and his love (armor and helmet), but that’s not all. Through all the battles we are not alone God has placed an army friends and family to fight alongside us.  We can strengthen our relationship with God and others by praying for each other and being there in times of need. Sometimes we can’t do it all alone; we need others to lean on.

To all my friends and family that have, are and will pray for me, thank you! I keep you all in my heart and prayers. We are not alone, we are an ARMY.

“And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working”. (James 5:15-16)

For a limited time only, TRANSFORMERS PRIME: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON Limited Edition 4-Disc Blu-ray contains a 96-page IDW graphic novel based on this hit series.

Delivering a new level of heavy metal action and family entertainment for all ages, the limited edition Blu-ray collection is priced to own at $64.99 SRP. The deluxe 4-DVD set is sold separately and has a suggested retail price of $ 29.93 SRP.

The TRANSFORMERS saga starts a new chapter as old foes return, legendary heroes rise, and new ones are found in unlikely places. The new EMMY Award winning series TRANSFORMERS PRIME, A Hasbro Studios production, currently airs on The HUB television network in the U.S. and Teletoons in Canada, deepens the epic mythology of both the AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS, while starting a new chapter for a new generation of fans.

My Thoughts

“More than meets the eyes, transformers, robots in disguise”. What a classic cartoon and toy from the 80’s! Optimus Prime leads the Autobots in the ongoing battle against Megatron and Decepticons. Transformers were a favorite of mine as a kid and now with their current movies it has become a family favorite. For years Transformers has entertained people with their movies, cartoons, toys, video games and comic books.  The Decepticons and Autobots logos are highly recognized and can still be seen on cars for a custom look. The fans for the Transformers dynasty entertain everyone from different ages and genders.

Another part of the transformer line is the new animated series, “Transformer Prime”.  The Season One DVD series follows the Autobots along with their human friends to protect the world against the Decepticons. Transformers provide action and entertainment for the whole family. The restyling of the transformers adds new characters to the all time favorites Optimus Prime and Megatron. The graphics and details to the Transformers are awesome and make it feel more realistic. The story line is easy to follow and is appropriate for its age group (TVY7). The Series is filled with action, adventure with a little humor to put it all together. All fans of Transformers, cartoons, robots, action, and entertainment will enjoy this DVD.

Harlem GlobeTrotters ROCKED the Inland Empire and the IE Daddy Division was There!

I love anything that has to do with basketball including the NBA, March Madness, And1, and playing pickup games in the park. To me there is nothing more entertaining and fun then playing or watching basketball. No look passes, high flying dunks and alley-oops are exciting to all fans. Add humor and acting to all that and you get the Harlem Globetrotters!

The Globetrotters have been entertaining fans since 1926. Their popularity has led them to T.V. appearances on Scooby Doo, Gilligan’s island, the Simpsons, and even their own cartoons. I was so excited when I finally got an opportunity to see the Harlem Globetrotters live.

This event was so awesome! The event started with high energy music and amusing dancing from their dance team and their mascot, Globie. Throughout the game there was fun dancing segments from Globie, the globetrotters and fans. The Globetrotters game was filled with dazzling passes and high flying dunk. They even added a twist to the basketball game by adding a 4-point shoot and a penalty box. Their comedic antics had all fans laughing and smiling all game long. They interacted a lot with fans running in and out of the stands make fans feel a part of the show.

After putting on an entertaining show The Globetrotters took time to sign autographs and meet the fans. The Globetrotters are a great family event and fun for all ages. My family and I had so much fun and are excited to see them again.

Faithful Tuesdays – Finding Rest in God

Posted in Faithful Tuesdays, IE Daddy Division by The IE Mommy
Jan 31 2012

The past two weeks have been so mentally draining for me.  I found myself stressing out about the smallest things and dwelling on them constantly.  Every night I struggled to get sleep because of these small problems. I would be lucky to get 4 – 5 hours of sleep with no chance of going back to sleep.  The days dragged because of the lack of energy and my mind did not stop thinking about every small problem.  It stopped me from spending time and talking to family like I wished.

I could not figure out why I couldn’t stop myself from stressing about all these small problems.  I knew I couldn’t fix them and I knew I shouldn’t worry about them.  All the major parts of my life where doing well like my marriage, family, finances and health. The devil tries to attack us in so many different ways. In this case I felt like the devil was just trying to overwhelm me with tons of small things. Then he tried to isolate me from my supportive family by making me either wanting to be alone or being easily irritated to start an argument.

The devil can attack us anytime and any way possible. We have to realize when and why is he attacking us.  I think sometimes we ask God for help but mostly for big problems. Those little issues get left out because we figure we can fix them ourselves or they are not as important. We are impatient and grow aggravated because these problems are not solved in our time frame.

The thing that seemed to work for me was to strengthen my relationship with God.  Even though I read my bible daily, I started reading it for a longer period of time. I talked to God every time my mind started to dwell on those small problems.  I’m still struggling with sleep but find comfort in prayer when I can’t go back to bed. My faith with God’s love and guidance will get me through ALL problems.

“Even the youths shall faint and be weary and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”  Isaiah 40:30-31
