It’s been said that the family that plays together stays together. That being said I would have to say my family is stuck together for life! We have lots of “family battles” as my kids call them. There are light saber battles while wearing the masks of the good and the bad and superhero battles where everyone picks their favorite hero and their special weapon. Sometimes it’s just nerf guns that come in all different sizes for the littlest to the biggest. That’s why I knew my kids would love the rubber band launchers from Precision RBS!
These launchers are rated for 8+ so I knew they would be great for my 7 and 8 year olds. We let my almost three year old play with them as well, with adult supervision of course. He’s passed the point of putting things in his mouth and is able to operate the smaller launcher. The big obstacle with him is making sure he doesn’t shoot it AT people. That’s one of the benefits of the whole family playing together though. We all keep an eye on him and help teach him the right way!
My husband was not initially thrilled because he said the rubber bands would end up all over the house, and they did. However, he was the only one still playing long after the rest of us finished. He said they are the best rubber band launchers he’s ever seen. They are good quality and highly accurate. As a girl I don’t have as much experience as him in this department but I enjoyed playing with them as well!
We tried out three different launchers, all with interchangeable attachments. Since they generally could be categorized as small, medium and large I divided them up between my kids that way from youngest to oldest. Of course everyone wanted the big one so we took turns swapping out all the attachments.
Since the attachments are swappable, they actually all look the same with attachments removed!
The launchers are really well made and easy to use. I like that the distance is labeled on each so you know how far it will go.
The launchers all have fun life like accents like the little clear part you can pop up to line up your shot.
The rubber bands are color coded with each one able to go a different distance. I like the options! We were just playing inside I totally to test them out so didn’t need them launching the maximum distance.
The shortest launcher with no attachments is called the Talos. It is a simple basic launcher that still comes with two different kinds of bands, 100 each. I like how basic and easy it is to use. That’s my personal preference. I don’t need all the fancy attachments and ability to do different things. I think this is more of a guy thing!
There’s a hook on the bottom where you can store the extra bands for a quick reload.
The medium size is called the Chiron and has an attachment that is interchangeable with the others. it has the same storage capability for extra bands as the Talos but with the attachment you can store even more on the bottom.
The attachment also can be a stand alone hand shooter which I kind of like. It also comes with 200 bands.
The largest Hyperion I don’t think we have even begun to touch what it can do. This one I actually needed to read the directions for to figure out all the different components. This one comes with 250 because it has even further distance capabilities so another band is needed which is color coded purple for distinction.
This one has all the capabilities of the others with it’s own additional features. The coolest feature of this one is it’s burst feature which can shoot up to 14 bands at once. Plus, it’s just the coolest looking one! This was my daughter’s favorite!
They can of course dangerous and safety precautions should be taken. My kids are used to shooting at each other with Nerf guns so of course they wanted to do that with these. We had to explain their dangers and that we could only use them for target practice unless everyone was wearing full protection including face and head coverage.
We don’t have this laying around so we decided these would be perfect to take with us camping. We can do target practice without worrying about hitting anyone. They even come with targets and since they aren’t destroyed like with real guns they can be used over and over again. Then we also have the option of shooting at each other with our full dirt bike gear protection on if the kids really want to shoot at each other – which they do!
For the house though they are only allowed to use the targets. They like practicing with the different bands and launchers and exploring all the things they are capable of. It’s a fun activity for the whole family!
These rubber band launchers are great quality and can be a lot of safe fun when used correctly. We can’t wait to really put the distance to the test next time we are camping in the great wide open!
The lightweight Talos holds up to 12 of the small size, #16, rubber band and up to 8 of the medium size, #33 rubber band. It launches up to 30 feet. The built in extender allows for more range of the medium size bands. It has storage cleats for extra ammo. Talos is perfect for quick, smooth, multi-shot action.
Looking for quick, agile action? Talos is the one!
The Chiron has a Quick Load feature, designed for rapid, on-the-move reloading! The unique design has plenty of ammo storage – it holds up to 100 added bands. Chiron holds 12 small size bands and 8 medium size bands. It has rapid launch action, with range up to 30 feet. And with the release trigger, Chiron becomes two RBS launchers – a fully functional unit with all the features of Talos, PLUS a unique hand launcher, capable of firing ANY size rubber band.
Looking for high ammo capacity and fast loading for extended battles? Choose Chiron!
Nothing surpasses the Hyperion: Capaciy to hold three different bands sizes, including the large size, #117, the medium size, #33, and the small size #16. Hyperion has pinpoint accuracy and extended range – up to 50 feet!. It has plenty of ammo storage, with side storage and cleat storage. Plus, Hyperion feathers the unbelievable BURST feature – launching 14 bands AT ONCE!!
Insane power, accuracy and range! The other guys don’t stand a chance!
Hyperion separates into two parts, giving you a compact Talos-line launcher, and providing for easy storage.
Can hold up to 26 bands! Looking for long range, multiple round launching? You’ll dominate with Hyperion!!
