God Bless Texax Illustrated by Peter Francis #Review @Zonderkidz #Zonderkidz #ZblogSquad

Last week I introduced you to the first Land that I Love Book God Bless America. Then we started getting into the specific states starting with God Bless Florida. The next book in the series is God Bless Texas which, you guessed it, explores Texas with our new friend Henry the bear.

Here Henry the Bear makes his destination the great state of Texas. This was probably the most educational for me personally so far as I’d not heard of many of these places. It was fun exploring them together with my little one.

I like that he visits the Capitol of Austin as it’s a great educational tool for little ones to learn because they will eventually need to know the State Capitols in school.

There’s a good balance of historical and fun like the rodeo! My kids had never heard of a rodeo before so this prompted the most discussion. My eight year old liked when Henry dressed as an astronaut because that is his current obsession. It made him take interest in the book whereas before it was just my two year old listening.

Henry gets some souvenirs of his trip and then heads home with his precious memories. We are excited to see which state Henry visits next in the Land That I Love Series!
