My Toddler Bible by Juliet David #Review @KregelBooks #KregelPublications

This is probably the most comprehensive toddler Bible I’ve ever seen. Usually Bibles designed for little ones this age are really thick board books with few pages. My Toddler Bible is actually a Bible with a lot of thought put into it for this age group!

This one has twenty stories in it with incredible artwork by Chris Embleton-Hall that is a huge draw for the little ones. In fact when reading to my two year old, my six year old walked by and looked over my shoulder and then sat to look at the pictures. They are incredibly bright, detailed and at the same time simplistic to attract the littles.

I like that this Bible really distinguishes itself from baby books. Toddlers are no longer babies and so their books should develop and grow with them. The hardbound cover provides protection but doesn’t have the squishy thick cover of baby books. The attention to detail is for growing toddlers. The stories are longer than the single page summaries baby books are known for and go into greater detail while still keeping it simple and in terms they can understand.

The Toddler Bible is a great next step for littles growing from babyhood to toddlers. Their brains are ready for the next step and this book is both visually delightful and educational at their level.

About the Book

Fans of Chris Embleton-Hall’s cheerfully distinctive artwork will be eager to see this new Bible! Twenty stories–nine from the Old Testament and eleven from the New–are retold in a concise and friendly manner in a rounded, easy-to-read font. Very, very bright, and very, very fun!
