Kids Quest Study Bible NIrV #Review @Zonderkidz #Zonderkidz

My Thoughts

I have had some rather disappointing experiences with children’s Bibles lately so I was thrilled and pleasantly surprised to see the Kids Quest Study Bible in the NIrV version full of fabulous features just for kids!

The New International readers Version is in my opinion, the best version out there. I’ve always preferred the NIV for myself but this is even more simplified and suitable for kids.

In addition to that, this Bible has all the things I look for in a kids Bible. It is hardbound which is absolutely necessary for any Bible, even though I see many with paper covers that just tear. It has the usual presentation page in front for gifting to someone and table of contents and introduction.

I think the very best feature of this Bible though and what sets it apart, is the answers to over 500 questions about the Bible. Now that I have very inquisitive kids aged six and seven, I get a lot of questions from them! I am not always able to answer them so we have to go in search of answers together. This asks AND answers many of the Biblical questions kids typically ask.

Even better, they are placed in the context of the question. For example, in 2 Kings there is a kids question “Why did God send the Jews to Babylon?” In addition to the questions throughout, at the beginning of each book it asks and answers the questions:

Who wrote this book?

Why was this book written?

For whom was this book written?

When was this book written?

While studying this Bible for review I found myself reading a lot of the questions and answers I didn’t know! This might be designed for kids but it’s really great for anyone. After all, we all have questions and sometimes the answers as written for children are easier for adults to understand as well!

Another cool feature is the Quest Challenge at the end of the books of the Bible that have the following:

I wonder….

Real Life Challenge

Quest Clue

This is a great way to take and apply directly to kids lives.

There are many cosmetic things I like about this Bible like the orange and blue lettering and coloring throughout. The ONE thing I don’t like is that Jesus’s words are not in red. I always mention this when it’s not there and it’s seeming to be missing more and more. Maybe I’m old school in this thought but I really prefer Bibles that have it.

Other than that, the Kids Quest Study Bible is a wonderful way for kids to study the Bible and have their questions answered! Mom and dad just might find it very informative as well!
