Taking Care of my Color Treated Hair! #StrivectinHair

Strivectin Background Color Care

Now that I’ve entered a new decade of life in my forties, I have also encountered a new type of hair: gray! I still feel like I’m not old enough for gray hair but alas, there it is! It’s rearing it’s ugly head right in front in my bangs and on the sides around my temples. If it were any other place I probably would just let it go. However, gray hair right in front is not acceptable!

I started coloring my hair just to cover the gray. It’s just one of those things I have to do but I absolutely hate doing it! I do it myself because it’s so much cheaper. Plus I feel like it’s a waste of money to have someone professionally color my hair the same color it already is!

Since I do not enjoy coloring, I really need it to last as long as possible. That made a haircare product line specifically for color treated hair an absolute necessity!

I have been using the new set from Strivectin hair for the past several weeks since my last coloring job. I really like the scent of the shampoo and conditioner. It’s a thin consistency but a little goes a long way.

A new product I’m trying that I’ve never used before is a UV Protective Spray. I never even knew before now that this existed but it makes sense! The sun can definitely affect the color of your hair. It has always lightened mine. When I was young this was a good thing. Now, not so much! I don’t want my color lightened at all so I spray this on every day to protect my hair from sun fading.

After several weeks of use I’m really happy with how my hair color has held using this color care line! My color hasn’t faded at all. Now if only they could invent a product to stop hair growth and roots coming through and I’d be set!
