Sofia the First: Sofia’s First Christmas #Review @DisneyHyperion #DisneyBooks

We really enjoyed the Doc McStuffin’s book from the Disney A Junior Classic Tale series so we were looking forward to reading another Disney Junior favorite Sofia the First: Sofia’s First Christmas.

These books in this series are actually much more wordy than I would have expected and are just right for my first grader who just started reading. The words are simple enough for her but the pages are pretty long so it’s just the right amount for a challenge she can conquer!

It is such a relief to have readers! I like to have the six year old read to the two year old! She practices her reading and he gets entertained and falls in love with reading as well so it’s a double win!

I really like the illustrations in these books! They are really soft and look like the characters but more in a “drawn” sort of way if that makes sense; as books should be I think!

The title is a bit of a play on words since it’s not literally Sofia’s first Christmas or she would be a baby! Leave it to Disney to come up with a clever title! Its actually her first time celebrating Christmas since in Enchancia they had Wassailia instead.

Sofia has a magical time with Vivian celebrating Christmas traditions and have adventures together. When Sofia helps find a lost friend, the focus of love and hope and friendship are great lessons for kids!

Sofia the First: Sofia’s First Christmas is a great one for the littles whether it’s Christmas or all the year through!
