We are big PBS Kids fans around here! How could I not be with three kids? I’m a huge proponent of early childhood education but I’m also a big supporter of fun! There’s no reason you should have to choose between and that’s what I’ve always appreciated about PBS.
Sadly my older two kids have gone off to elementary school so that just leaves me at home with my toddler Jax. I love spending time with him and watching him learn and grow. Development is so fast at this age and it’s incredible to watch how entertained he is by the littlest things.
That’s why I really like the toys from PBS Kids shop. PBS Kids teamed up with Whole Foods again this year to offer a line of eco-friendly toys. They are made from responsibly-sourced materials, including PlanWood, which is high density fiber composite wood from rubber trees, organic color pigment, and rubber wood.
In addition, they give back 1% of profits to the Whole Kids foundation. Not only are they showing responsibility to the earth, but also the people that inhabit it! That makes me feel really good about getting anything from their shop!
Jax absolutely loved the Hop & Bop Frog! It is the simplest little thing yet it is so entertaining! As you pull it by the string, the big wheels in front make it hop and bop up and down! Jax was so fascinated by this! He pulled this little guy around the house all day!
These kinds of toys really bring me back to my own childhood where things were much simpler and you could be entertained by something like this that doesn’t require batteries or buttons and won’t break or need replacement parts. It’s just a good solid toy!
The other things I just love are the bath toys! I’m so tired of the little rubber bath squirters that don’t last! They always get moldy and gross inside and I have to be concerned about my kids health playing with them. I once saw a video of what’s inside of those things and had to stop buying them!
The PBS Kids bath toys float and are so much more realistic looking. Boats should be solid and float well and the same goes for submarines!
PBS Kids and Whole foods came up with a wonderful line of toys that are eco-friendly, sustainable and my kids love them! If you have some little ones on your list this year, check out the PBS Kids shop or find them in your local Whole Foods Market. The one downside is, you’ll have trouble narrowing down just one or two!
PBS KIDS and Whole Foods Market have joined forces for a second holiday season to launch new items for their line of earth-friendly toys. These new toys inspire creativity and imaginative-play, as musical instruments, shape puzzles, and bath toys are all available for toddlers.
The PBS KIDS toys are the gifts that give back. Purchasing these products ultimately gives back to the PBS mission of education for all children as 100% of profits for the supplier, PBS, go back to their non-profit work. All PBS holiday products give 1% to Whole Kids Foundation, which helps give parents, teachers and children more tools and opportunities to eat well.
These toys are made using responsibly-sourced materials, including PlanWood, which is high density fiber composite wood from rubber trees, organic color pigment, and rubber wood.
