Scent is a Part of my Holiday Memories! Win One of Two of my Favorites! #Giveaway @VillageCandle #JarCandle #HolidayGiftGuide

Scent plays such a huge part of our memory. We associate them with different things and it’s always amazed me how a certain smell can instantly transport me to a different time and place. I know there’s a whole science dedicated to the study of how scent and memory are connected. All I know is that candles for me are about more than just making my house smell good!

The Home for Christmas scent from Village Candle is one that instantly reminds me of everything wonderful about Christmas. It is so warm and inviting and our Elf on the Shelf Elfie was nice enough to bring us one this year!

I put it on a table in our front entryway so that it would be the first thing that you smell when you walk in the door. However, the scent is so strong that you can literally smell it anywhere in the entire house. I love that I don’t need multiple candles throughout the house. With quality, one is all it takes!

The other candle we got was with fall and Thanksgiving in mind. One of the new holiday scents this year that I also associate with Christmas as well as Thanksgiving is the Hard Cider .

What’s fun about this one is this is the first year my kids have tried and actually liked Apple Cider. They ask for hot cider every night so it’s going to be one of those scents that they also associate with the holidays. Paige loves it so much she just sits there smelling it when it’s not even lit!

I have always loved Village Candles. Not only do they have great quality that lasts for the life of the candle; they also offer such unique scents that there’s really something for everyone and for every occasion. If you have people on your list that you don’t know what to get for Christmas; candles are an all around winner for anyone!
