The Berenstain Bears, The Very First Christmas By Jan & Mike Berenstain #Review @Zonderkidz #Zonderkidz #ZblogSquad

What holiday would be complete without The Berenstain Bears? They’ve become a tradition for my family and so we loved reading The Very First Christmas together as a family.

Here’s what I really liked about this book. It was the story of Christmas re-told and illustrated as bears. There was no spin on it, no changing it up and no re-arranging the story. The only difference was that the characters were all of the bears instead of people.

I really liked this traditional and unexpected story of Christmas because I was expecting something different. Sometimes it’s nice to just get the truth without embellishment. The bears of course make the pictures funner for the kids, especially my youngest. But it’s a great way for them to get the Christmas message as it should be told.

The Berenstain Bears The Very First Christmas is the story straight from the Bible, as it should be!

About the Book

Join the Bear cubs as they learn all about Jesus’ holy birth. From the angel Gabriel’s announcement to Mary to the visit from the three wise men, join Mama, Papa, Brother, Sister, and Honey as they discover the story of the very first Christmas.

About the Authors

Stan and Jan Berenstain introduced the first Berenstain Bear books in 1962. Mike Berenstain grew up watching his parents work together to write about and draw these lovable bears. Eventually he started drawing and writing about them too. Though Stan died in 2005, and Jan in 2012, Mike continues to create the delightful Bear adventures from the family home and studio in Pennsylvania, in an area that looks much like the sunny dirt road deep in Bear Country.
