Stir up Some fun with the Stir-it-up Chemistry Lab! #Review & #Giveaway @edu_insights #EducationalInsights

Chem Lab

My kids love to do their own experiments, even if it means they don’t have any official equipment or direction! It’s fun to play with these things and educational insights helps do it safely with the Stir-it-Up Chemistry Lab.

This set comes up most things you need to complete the experiments but not everything. Other things needed are usually household items you will have on hand like baking soda and white vinegar. I do wish it included every single thing so that when the box was opened it was good to go. We had trouble locating a few random things like a balloon (only around for birthdays) and candle (I go flameless). However, the kids had fun playing with the little vials and pretending they were doing things while we were on the hunting for the needed items.

The guidebook tells you step by step exactly what to do and what you will need for each experiment. It also includes a pair of safety goggles so that their eyes are protected. Safety first! I happened to have a spare pair on hand so that both kids could do this together.

Daddy helped out with the experiment while I gathered everything we needed so it was fun that the whole family could do it together.

Since we didn’t have everything on hand the first time we just did the experiments we did have things for like extinguishing the candle flame by creating our own gas. The kids thought this was the coolest thing ever and wanted to do it over and over again.

Since they are also huge Star Wars fans they were obsessed with the idea of making their own lava in a bottle!

The kids loved doing these experiments and ask every day if they can be scientists! While I do wish that the kit came with at least some of the required elements, I do see the appeal of being able to do multiple experiments using household items.
