A Skeptic’s Experience with doTerra Essential Oils: Part 3 Lemon @doterra #doterra

A few months ago I started using doTerra essential oils for the first time. I mean everyone seems to be trying them and raving about their results so I had to try! I shared my experience using the Peppermint oil here and the Lavender here. A self proclaimed skeptic, I was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience.

Since I got the Introductory Kit, I had three of the main oils to start with. For this past month I have been using the Lemon.

First Impressions on the Kit

First impressions really can be everything! This kit was smaller than I expected in size but was really cute and had pretty Lavender flowers decorating the outside which gave it that feminine look but also makes it perfect for gift giving!

When I opened it up, I was really impressed that it had a breakdown of what each of the three oils was used for. This is a perfect reference guide and located exactly where you need it so you don’t have to hunt for it!

I decided to try a few different things right off the bat after reading the descriptions. For this segment, I’ll talk about the Lemon.

The Lemon

I just love the smell of lemon! It’s so refreshing and soothing. The smell brings to mind all things fresh, clean, bright and new. The second I opened the bottle and drew in the scent I felt happy!

One of the suggestions on the introductory kit top for Lemon is to put a drop in a water bottle or when you are at a restaurant if they don’t have lemon. This gives it that extra fresh, refreshing taste. I have seen so much lately on the benefits of drinking water with lemon so I started doing this regularly.

As I’ve been experimenting with my diffuser, I also like to ad a drop of lemon to that. It is supposed to be a mood elevator. My theory is that lemon smells clean and gives the illusion of a clean house which always makes me happy!

Diffused lemon also serves as an odor neutralizer along those same lines. I like to have it in my kitchen to eliminate trash odor and just give it that just cleaned smell.

Another use in the kitchen is to clean your stainless steal appliances. Who knew? There’s even a way to use the lemon with olive oil for a furniture polish.

I love the way it eliminates the need for so many other products that contain harmful chemicals.

My Conclusion

I think after using the kit, the lemon definitely stands out as my favorite. While I did love the Lavender and Peppermint as well, this stands out as the one with the most uses for my life. It has so many health benefits as well as use around the house.

I think this Introductory Kit would make a great gift for anyone you know that has been wanting to try the oils but doesn’t know where to begin. It contains the three most popular and widely used and is packaged already as the perfect gift!
