Gone Without a Trace by Patricia Bradley #BookReview

I am a fan of Patricia Bradley so whenever I see something new from her I scoop it up! I really enjoy the combination of suspense and mystery with romance. It just ads layers of depth and authenticity that are more like real life than your typical cliche romance novel.

The latest from Bradley and the third in her Logan Point series is Gone Without a Trace and as always, there is a great mystery coupled with a budding romance in the small town of Logan Point.

This time there are two disappearances that have a lot in common and private investigator Alex Jennings is the one to try to put it all together. When Livy returns home after some traumatic incidents at her job, her personal connection to one of the missing brings her together with Alex.

I hate to label this predictable because I enjoyed it so much but right away I could see where this was going with Livy and Alex. There’s a little conflict, confusion about feelings and the past interfering with the present. Will Livy and Alex get over their respective pasts to move forward with the present? How will this affect Livy’s career that is temporarily on hold? And most importantly, will they solve the mystery of the missing girls and possibly even find them alive?

There are many things going on with the characters in Logan Point and I really appreciate how Bradley weaves their complicated lives and feelings in with the story so that they are not just one dimensional characters. The Logan Point series is not one to be missed and Gone Without a Trace just moved up to my favorite of the three!

About the Book

The past is repeating itself–and time is running out

It’s been more than two years since homicide detective Livy Reynolds’s cousin disappeared from Logan Point. Unlike most people in her hometown, Livy has never believed that Robyn left voluntarily. When Dallas private investigator Alex Jennings contacts her concerning a senator’s missing granddaughter who was last seen in Logan Point, Livy notices eerie similarities between the two disappearances. With self-doubt plaguing her and an almost instant dislike of the self-assured PI, she’s finding this investigation an uphill battle. But with the prospect of finding her cousin on the horizon, she’ll have to find a way to work with Alex–before it’s too late.

Award-winning author Patricia Bradley keeps you on the edge of your seat with a case–and a relationship–that is anything but certain.
