Babies are constantly changing and developing and sometimes it’s hard to keep up! I can hardly believe Jax is already almost a year and a half old! He has changed so much!
For the most part I tried to stick with Doctor recommended guidelines about certain things and I did well with my first two kids. Jax, however, has been a completely different story, and it’s not just because he’s the baby! (Maybe just a little…) Jax has been sick all year and has gone through many Doctor appointments, specialists and even a hospital visit. I decided that even though twelve months is the age to get rid of the bottle, I didn’t want to take it away while he was going through so much. The same went for the pacifier. Now that he’s been healthier, it’s time to make some changes!
If there were products like the Tip it Up Bottle to Cup Set around when my older two were little, I certainly didn’t know about them! This set is the perfect transitional set to get your child to go from drinking a bottle to a sippy cup gradually. It comes in both boy and girl colors and includes two 9 fl oz feeding bottles and one First Sips Transitioning cup.
The transitioning cup is really little and cute, as all things baby should be! It has handles on the side so that younger babies can easily grasp them and a soft tip which Jax loves to chew on since he’s teething!
The 9 fl oz feeding bottles are perfect for the next step and happens to be the amount he drinks per serving now! He really enjoys drinking out of these and I think he knows it means he’s becoming a big boy! Even though he was a little late in the game transitioning, this set was really helpful in helping do the job!
The other baby thing we’re really having a hard time letting go of is the pacifier! My first two kids didn’t take a pacifier so I was in no way prepared for how attached he would be! Tommee tippee also has a great new collection of pacifiers to choose from and Jax was actually excited about this!
While these aren’t technically transitional, they kind of are for us. His current pacifier had a stuffed animal attached and the second I saw him pop one of these in, I was so relieved to get rid of that giant stuffed animal! It is (was) white and it kind of grosses me out to think about the germs it collects from his hands all day and is then hanging from his mouth!
These pacifiers come in two stages: 0-6m and 6-18m for older babies. We are almost at the 18 month mark which is my goal time for getting rid of the pacifier!
Whether your baby is transitioning from bottles or just enjoying the comfort of a pacifier, tommee tippee has everything for their growing needs in adorable, and affordable options!
