I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Beech-Nut. I received a free coupon to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
I have an extremely picky eldest child! Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and do it all over again to ensure that he got enough of a variety of foods and pushed him to eat them! Babies and Toddler’s are depending on us to give them the nutrition they need. When the picky toddler years kick in; it’s important they already have the foundation of being exposed to a variety of foods.
Jax is sixteen months old. I made sure to give him a wide variety of baby food and used a guide of recommended foods for each age and stage. He tried everything! I really appreciate companies like Beech-Nut that have Organic options as well as the stages on them so that you know what they should be eating. At sixteen months Jax is on stage 2 foods. At this point he basically eats everything we eat but I still give him baby food because he loves it and because it was designed with his growing needs in mind.
When he first started on baby food, I tried to make everything myself to make sure he wasn’t getting anything he didn’t need like preservatives! When I saw the Organic’s from Beech-nut had nothing added either, it was nice to have an alternative that I could buy that was as healthy as homemade! Their cooking process is gentle and much like what is done at home so it maintains the nutrients and gives baby all the nutritional value they need, and deserve!
Whenever I go to the store I just get one of every single flavor. He does already show preference for fruits over vegetables but luckily there are enough blends that he will get some variety in his veggies and the flavor mixes are more preferable to him.
He absolutely loves apples and pears so I got these for him as a special treat after he ate his veggies!
I like that Beech-nut places emphasis on the fact that it’s not baby food; it’s real food for babies! As it should be! Some baby food is filled with preservatives and we want none of that!
The Organics come in a transparent honey pot jar and is available in a variety of flavors. I’m sad I didn’t know about the organic line when Jax was first eating baby food but he’s certainly enjoying his Organics now and I am taking full advantage of no longer having to cook it myself! On top of that good news, he feeds himself!
I primarily shop at Stater Brothers and Walmart and they both carry the Beech-Nut line but not the organic so I had to visit Babies R Us to find it. If you aren’t close to this store, you can check their store locator to find one near you. I liked that Babies R Us had gift packs available so you could give as baby shower gifts and then they can try a variety of flavors!
I love that fruits and veggies are a special treat to him! He knows where I keep them in the pantry and goes in to get them several times a day! They are affordable enough that I can stock up on them so I let them have them whenever he wants between meals. This is his primary snack and I love that it’s so healthy!
