Children have such incredible imaginations and The Adventures of Pajama Girl and the Coronation of the Cupcake Queen is such a celebration of that part of childhood.

I loved the idea behind this book. Ellie and her Sis have a happy life together in their home. Ellie really looks forward to bedtime the most because she always has adventures in her dreams. Whatever Pajamas she wears dictates what she will dream about, thus the nickname Pajama Girl!

I really liked reading this with my five year old daughter Paige because she’s been having a lot of bad dreams lately. She has an active imagination and unfortunately it works both ways and sometimes it’s a bad thing! It was the perfect time to read her a book about positive dreams, especially about such wonderful things like candy and cupcakes! She said it reminded her of Candyland and that made her happy!

I started reading this as the last book before bedtime to help encourage sweet dreams for Paige. We even started picking out her own pajamas based on what she wanted to dream about! So much of dreams seem to be a self fulfilling prophecy where whatever you go to sleep thinking about, you will dream about. What a wonderful way to encourage children to think and dream about happy things!

The book is whimsical, lyrical and all around magical and we love The Adventures of Pajama Girl in our house!
