I have recently heard that if fruit is out on display instead of tucked away somewhere, people are more likely to eat it. My kids and my husband and I definitely need to eat more fruit so I thought I’d put that theory to the test! I really liked the look of the two tier fruit bowl so thought I would give it a try!
It had minor assembly just basically attaching the baskets to the sides which was simple enough without directions. I like that the baskets can swing so you can pull the bottom one out to get something without it being trapped by the top.
I like putting the bananas by themselves so they have less of a chance of getting bruised so I put them on the top and the rest of the fruit on the bottom.
So did it work? Absolutely! I’ve had it out for several weeks now and my kids know that they are allowed to eat fruit whenever they want without asking permission. I think this freedom coupled with the easy accessibility has definitely increased their fruit intake.
It also makes my grocery shopping easier because I can quickly glance at the bowl to know when we are running low or out without having to go into the pantry or open a drawer in the fridge.
The Double Hammock 2 tier fruit bowl is really attractive to look at and not an eyesore as some things placed on the counter can be. I’ve gotten many compliments on it and am thrilled to have it in the kitchen!
