There’s a New Bully in Town; She’s Cyber Mom #Bullying

no-bullying

My heart is so weary

So heavily burdened

So tired of seeing

The motherhood hurting

The shaming, the blaming

The guilt that’s assigned

Moms are attacking

Those whose views don’t align

From the heated debate

To vaccinate or not

To the outrage over leggings

Are they sexy or not

Whatever the issue

Respect should be given

To stave off the insults and

Mommy Wars that’ve arisen

If it were a child

She’d be rightfully punished

But because they are moms

They go un-admonished

The web feeds their frenzy

Gives fuel to their flame

Behind their keyboards they hide

Without fear or shame

They slam and they judge

With shocking abandon

Who’s going to stop them

If we don’t make it happen

It’s troubling to see

How far we have fallen

From heartfelt support

To petty name calling

This is real life

It isn’t a game

The wrong words typed harshly

A life’s never the same

When you see a storm brewing

Don’t join in, just stay calm

There’s a new bully in town

She’s cyber mom

Proverbs 15:1 (NIV)

A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
