The Evangelism Study Bible #NKJV Review @KregelBooks #KregelPublications

My Thoughts

I have read a lot of different Bibles with emphasis on varying areas and devotionals included but never on Evangelism until The Evangelism Study Bible. This one is focused solely on evangelism and I think it’s important to study something so important to the Christian faith.

No matter what evangelism means to you; it’s important to have the foundation of your faith and deep understanding to be able to share it and this is a great resource for that. As a home-maker, that means my local community. For missionaries it can be foreign countries. Evangelism looks different to different people and their life situation but regardless of the way it’s put out there, the fundamentals are the same.

This Bible is in the New King James Version which admittedly is not my favorite as I prefer the New International Version but it kind of makes sense since it’s an older more historical version of the Bible making it the appropriate choice for a topic such as Evangelism. The foundation of faith coming from the foundation of the Word is a logical partnership.

I really liked the Book introductions that show how evangelism is displayed in that book. Even though I’ve been a Christian all my life; I learn new things every time I open the Bible. Putting the focus on evangelism really opened up a whole new perspective for me and it was really helpful to know what I was looking for ahead of time.

I also really liked the articles that are great companions to reading the Bible on evangelism and putting it in layman’s terms and perspectives relevant to today’s world.

The Evangelism tips were also really helpful. We already know what we’re supposed to do. It’s the how that can sometimes be challenging so any tip is beneficial.

Overall I think The Evangelism Study Bible is a great resource on Evangelism. I do wish it were available in other versions for simplification on a complicated subject but all of the extra tools included do help to provide a deeper understanding.

About the Book

Evangelism can mean many things to many people. For some, it’s something that requires special training or a calling from God. For others, it’s something only done in a church building or arena. And for some, it evokes emotions of guilt and shame for failing to be a vibrant witness to unbelievers.

For more than forty years, EvanTell, Inc., an evangelism training and outreach ministry in Dallas, Texas, has focused on one mission: the gospel, clear and simple. Founded by Dr. R. Larry Moyer, EvanTell, Inc., touches millions of lives each year with evangelism materials, evangelism training, and outreach events. Now those four decades of experience in training believers to share the good news in a clear and simple fashion has been paired with the one essential tool for evangelism: God’s Word. The Evangelism Study Bible provides all the tools needed for sharing the gospel in a clear, simple, and guilt-free way.

Using the highly regarded New King James Version®, The Evangelism Study Bible brings together a wide variety of resources, some never before paired with the text of Scripture. Users will benefit from:

• 85 how-to features that provide hands-on advice
