With men and women thinking so completely different, I think it’s important that they have separate Bible’s designed with men/ women in mind. The Men’s Bible is geared towards being a strong Christian man and gives me the tools that they need to do so, right inside of their Bible.
I love that the Mission Statement on the back says “…devotions that provide a road map for eery man to become the man God has designed him to be.” What a great mission! And they have created an incredible tool in this. Clearly I’m not a man but I was so impressed with the way this Bible was set up and I am thrilled to have my husband reading it.
Not everyone is familiar with the Bible or “how” to read it. It’s not at typical book you just pick up and read cover to cover. This has it laid out for men in simple steps so that whether they are a new reader of the Bible or old, they will know how to use this book:
- The Tool Kit
- The Battle
- The Challenge
There is also a welcome that lays it all out for them that’s encouraging, insightful and instructional. I think the Good News Translation is also a great universal one that’s good for beginners to understand.
I think my favorite section and what really makes this a Bible geared towards men is the section on Purpose and Priorities that goes through topics specifically for men to deal with. Men and women are so different and have their own struggles and challenges. This really points men in the right direction for certain topics like Purity, Family and their Legacy.
The Men’s Bible is a really great tool for new and old believers alike. Even for those that are familiar with the Bible; it can lead them down the path that they need to go at specific times of struggle in their life or just to gain knowledge in a particular area.
