I have a little budding artist in my house! My five-year-old daughter page loves to create things. She has such a great imagination and artistic flair so she paints, colors, and does cross whenever given the opportunity.
When I saw these Make a Puzzle Sets I thought they were the cutest thing! They are simply blank slates that are puzzle pieces so that kids can create their own puzzles. What a great idea!
Paige had a friend over the other day and they said that they wanted to make Christmas presents for people. I thought this would be the perfect gift for relatives, especially grandparents and parents who love getting things made by their beloved children/grandchildren.
I had some washable paint so I let them go to town! At first they were just painting them solid colors and when I explained that they needed to be able to put it together, they started branching out into a more rainbow variety. They still didn’t paint pictures on them yet but the next time I got them out Paige had gotten the idea and painted a picture.
She is so proud of her creations and wrapped them up to give to loved ones. I thought this was a really cute spin on just an ordinary drawing.
I actually use them to get a little creative myself! We do the elf on the shelf as part of our Christmas tradition so I had our elf, Elfie, paint a selfie! Then the kids got to keep it and will have it as a fun momento of this Christmas! Another day I had him putting together one of the puzzles Paige painted so I got two Elf on the Shelf ideas from these puzzles!
These Make a Puzzle Sets are the perfect Christmas gift for any child that likes to create. Isn’t that every child? I bet moms would appreciate getting something that will entertain their kids, have some educational and creativity value, doesn’t require batteries, and isn’t a toy!
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD – Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs.
What will be revealed when the puzzle is complete? Children will love decorating a puzzle and then challenging their friends and parents to piece it back together. White matte cardboard puzzles can be decorated with crayons, paint, pencils or markers.
