Jenn’s Thoughts

The Christmas tree lights are twinkling, a fire crackles in the fireplace, and the stockings are hung. There’s a mug of hot chocolate in your hand and a loved one by your side, all curled up on the couch. There’s one thing that’s missing from this idyllic scene though, and that would be some timeless Christmas music playing in the background! What would Christmas be with out music? I don’t know, and I don’t want to know.

I absolutely love Christmas music and play it nonstop Thanksgiving through Christmas day. If I can get away with it I start playing it earlier, but for some reason my husband doesn’t share my enthusiasm about Christmas music, so I try not to go too crazy with it.

I love adding to my Christmas music collection and it seems like every year I get a new album or two. This year I’ve already added an album by Frank Sinatra called The Classic Christmas Album. I think it is now one of my most favorite Christmas albums ever, and I am not exaggerating! Even my husband didn’t complain when I listened to it two times in a row the day after Halloween, it’s that good.

The Classic Christmas Album is beautifully nostalgic and seems to take you back to a time when things were simpler. And of course, it is Frank Sinatra, arguably one of the greatest singers from the 40’s and 50’s. The album has a lot of timeless favorites on it, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, Silent Night, Let it Snow, and more.

It’s sure to add that perfect touch to your holiday celebrations, and would make a great gift or stocking stuffer, sure to be loved by young and old, but if you want my personal opinion, don’t wait to give it on Christmas morning. Make it an early gift so it can be enjoyed the whole holiday season, and make sure to pick up a copy for yourself too!
