My Thoughts
Dinosaurs weren’t a big deal in my house when I was growing up. We learned about them in school and that was about it. I never took the time to learn their names or facts about them. They weren’t of interest to me. However, having two boys has opened my eyes to a new world of discovery! My boys (2 and 4 years old) love dinosaurs. They know their names, love to learn if they are herbivores or carnivores, and want to know where they came from. This Mama had to do some research so I would be able to teach them about dinosaurs. When we started watching Dino Dan, I was ecstatic! My boys loved the show and I loved that it was full of dinosaur details! (That I didn’t have to look up! Yay!)
I appreciate Dino Dan’s character. He is a sweet boy who loves to learn. He has a continued desire to know more and more about what interests him the most…dinosaurs! In this episode, the students in his class mention how he is an expert on dinosaurs and he is so humble to explain to the class that he isn’t an expert, he just enjoys researching them. This little boy is amazing at the information he teaches throughout this DVD. My son’s favorite part was when Dan teaches a Triceratops how to maneuver and defend itself so not to become lunch to a larger dinosaur.
Thank-you Dino Dan for teaching humility, dino facts, dino names, and helping to make dinosaurs come alive for my boys. The action packed DVD is fun for boys and girls of all ages. As an adult, I don’t mind sitting and watching the 45 minute movie with my boys. It is fun to see their excitement as Dan draws them into the show. Grab your blanket, popcorn, and cuddle up with your kids for this dinosaur adventure. You won’t regret it!
