ABOUT RAM…
RAM, originally released in May of 1971, is the only album to be credited to both Paul and Linda McCartney. The album topped the charts hitting #1 in the UK and #2 in the US. The album also gave Paul his first post-Beatles US number 1 single with ‘Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey’ and a Grammy win for Best Arrangement Accompanying Vocalists.

My Thoughts
The Paul McCartney Archive Collection RAM is a wonderful album. I was so pleased to learn that not only did Paul McCartney write and sing these songs he also played every instrument on the album as well. This album has a great amount of emotion as with any album that Paul McCartney is associated with. I actually played this album on my drive to work and it was soothing and fun to listen to.
On this album are classic hits that have been re-mastered for CD; there is a reason that this 1971 hit is being reissued.
There was also a bonus DVD that included “Ramming,” which shows the recording of RAM. Also included in this DVD are the original music videos for Heart of the Country, 3 Legs. The part I enjoyed the most was Hey Diddle where Paul and Linda performing a acoustic version at their home. This was actually my favorite part of the whole RAM collection. I enjoy seeing the history and what it takes the music and this is what pulls it all together.
The CD did not disappoint however, if I had to pick a few favorites they would be Smile Away, Another Day and Rode All Night. These songs just had so much emotion and I felt as though I related to them a bit.
Paul McCartney still is making great music and this is a great contemplation for anyone who loves music. This would make a fabulous Father’s Day gift for any music lover.
