Product Innovation:Featuring Calabria bergamot, the fragrance reveals a freshness enhanced by violet leaves, basil and star anise, and enlivened with nutmeg and pink pepper. Patchouli and vetiver anchor the accord.
Delivery System/Packaging: A hexagonal cap and smoky blue bottle. Against the matte silver packaging, a powerful blue illuminates the YSL logo. The same color energizes the fragrance’s name—L’Homme Libre.
My Thoughts
L’Homme Libre is a men’s cologne by Yves Saint Laurent with a fresh scent. Libre is the new variation of the original L’Homme. Filled with a mixture of scents like violet leaves, star anise, basil accord, leather notes and pink pepper the cologne gives you a spicy feel…yet, also the sense of breaking free.
I put L’ Homme Libre to the real test and wore it to a party over the weekend. It was definitely an attention grabber. I was impressed with projection of the cologne. I didn’t have to drench myself in it for others to smell it on me. The scent lasted all night and my wife mentioned that she could still smell it on me in the morning.
As an added bonus, L’ Homme Libre, grabbed the attention of others. I received tons of compliments. Those simple compliments produced a lasting confidence in me throughout the evening. What man doesn’t like that?
All men want to smell good, including myself. L’ Homme Libre cologne does exactly that! The scent it is fresh and spicy. It gave me that cool free feeling as it was intended to do. The bottle itself is modern and elegant. The overall product reflects high quality, sophistication, style and confidence. This cologne is a clean but different scent you can wear everyday for every occasion. Even though I was not familiar with the brand before, I am now a fan. I definitely recommend L’ Homme Libre to all men who WANT (and need) to smell great.
