This week has been about Wubbzy in our home. We love Wubbzy! If you have never seen a Wubbzy cartoon then you need to get out from behind that rock and see one.  He is so cute! His friends (Walden and Widget) are loyal, smart and fun.  So we were delighted when we were invited to review the new Wubbzy Goes to School DVD.

The moment I pulled the DVD out I was the hero! My girls cheered, begged me to make popcorn and then turned off all the lights because we were watching a “movie”!

Wubbzy has a few episodes within the one CD (6 to be exact)  so you have the liberty to watch them all (which we did) or to choose one or two that you’d like to watch. A great way for your little one to earn a treat.

The first two episodes are my favorites. The first one is where Wubbzy learns that he has to go to school, Most of Wubbzy’s friends aren’t to thrilled at the idea of going to school and are eager to share their dismay with Wubbzy. Which of course makes Wubbzy very worried and hesitant to start school. Sounds like a lot of Kindergartners, don’t you think?

But Wubbzy soon realizes that even though his friends may not like it…Wubbzy can enjoy it and be good at it. Even better when Wubbzy finds out that Walden will be his teacher. This is a great teaching episode for little kids. It is a wonderful way to teach little ones that school can be fun.

The next episode is about Magic. Wubbzy, Widget and Walden love magic and they are pretty good at it…except for Wubbzy. Try as he might…he just can’t earn a star. The sweat and crafty Widget offers to give her one of her stars but Wubbzy is determined to earn his own. Good for you Wubbzy! Another great lesson to be learned. Determination and personal pride in what you accomplish.

Overall Wubbzy is a 5 star cartoon for us. I hope you’ll take the time to visit Wubbzleburg and enjoy getting to know Wubbzy and his friends.

When Murphy, a larger-than-life new student, joins the class, Wubbzy finds that good friends can come in all shapes and sizes.
