This particular photo may, at first, seem like a weird choice for a Wordfilled Wednesday entry…but please be patient with me as I explain my thought process. It all starts like this…
Yesterday, I had a really rough day. One where you feel like just throwing in the towel and hiding in the closet. Ever been there?
During school the twins and I discussed the story of David & Goliath. One of the verses that caught my attention was 1 Samuel 17:58. Saul basically asks David “who are you?” and “where did you come from”.
This morning I started thinking about my attitude yesterday…and felt God asking me…“Whose daughter are you?“. I could only answer “Yours lord, yours…” and therefore I knew my actions yesterday were not those of the daughter of a king. I have to remind myself to whom I belong to when life gets a bit crazy and I want to hide in the closet.
I felt the desire to share my verse with you and went looking through my photos for inspiration that would fit my verse when I found this photo.
Poetically it fits. For we have to ask of these young men and women that serve our country so bravely…Whose son/daughter are you? I know that just as I am God’s daughter…these young men and women are His and we must always remember to keep them in our prayers.
Yes, I am God’s daughter and I don’t want to forget that.
