Every year when we attend the Los Angeles County fair…my daughters have to “STOP” and drool over all the toys at the Discovery Toys booth. They beg, whine and please for the toys. There is something fundamental about the Discovery Toys that completely draws them in and attracts them to the interactive imaginary play.
We received two toys from the Discovery Toy line to review, Flip Flop Faces and the Jam Session.
When I first opened the Flip Flop Faces I was a little disappointed because the toy is aimed for 
pre-school aged children. But my heart was changed when the girls seemed so excited about the game.
The object of Flip Flop Faces is to allow children to learn to express their emotions while working on the hand-eye coordination that is necessary to throw the bean bag into the colorful bowls.
Each little bean bag describes an emotion and the little bowl has a face on the other side exhibiting that facial expression.
Leave it to the IE Twins to enjoy it. First, it helped them learn the words written on their bean bags…which was a great one to incorporate reading and second…they added a twist to the emotions. For example, if it the bean bag read happy. They didn’t just smile…they mimed or acted out something that made them happy. This has become our icebreaker game during school hours when it just gets to much! It’s great to see a toy that can be enjoyed by pre-schoolers and older kids alike.
When I realized that we had received a Jam Session package I knew without a doubt this would quickly become a favorite. My girls love music, they love singing and they love making noise!

This was a huge hit. The twins love to march around the house, up and down the stairs making music and singing…guess it’s pretty fun when you already have a built-in twin sister to join you. Dragging their wagons, baby strollers…it makes for colorful display.
Learning to love and appreciate music, testing their vocals and musicality is a wonderful endeavor with the Jam Session. This would definitely be a set I would purchase for birthdays and Christmas. Whether you have a toddler or an older kid…I believe the Jam Session will help them to express their creativity and uniqueness.
