Autism Learning Felt

I have been using felt for learning purposes since the girls started Kindergarten last year. There is something tangible using felt story lines, letters and numbers as manipulatives.

What I love about the Learning Felt site and ideals is that  a mom’s love for her Autistic son compelled her to become involved with a company like, StoryTimeFelts , that creates dynamic, useful and engaging product that all families, moms and teachers can enjoy.

We received Christmas Tree Advent Calendar Wall Hanging to review. treeadvent

Count down the days of Christmas with the Christmas Tree Advent Calendar wall hanging. Includes velcro pieces, 25 felt figures you cut out or order pre-cut (all not shown), 10.5″ x 14″ felt background and dowel to use it as a hanging, and literature explaining each symbol of Christmas. As each day of the Advent season passes, your child can place a Christmas Symbol figure on the tree or background scene, counting down to Christmas!

Figures include: card, candy cane, bell, star, dove, ornament, gingerbread boy, toy soldier, church, tree, poinsettia, angel, caroler, shepherd, manger, wise men, donkey, santa, candle, gift, wreath, skates.

I am excited to use this with the twins. We have long wanted an Advent calendar. The quality and durability of the Learning Time felts is excellent. This will definitely me an item that we will enjoy using in class and as a family.

Learning Felt offers  creative, educational, religious, preschool and holiday felt boards and felt board activities for young children. Plus she has pages of ideas and activities to get the mos of your Learning Time Felts.

I think education is a wonderful gift to offer during the Holiday Season…especially if you can add a little fun to it all.

Felt boards ( sometimes called flannel boards ), felt figures, and more.  Great addition to your homeschool curriculum, or just as a learning toy for your child.  They are also a TreeAdvent_figures1great teacher resource for preschool learning activities.  Teachers can use the felt board stories and toggle books to set up learning centers, teach social stories, and teach the concept of community helpers.  Felt boards are also a great way to teach children with Autism.  We also have felt dress up dolls that are for community helpers.  The toggle books provide a creative way to teach numbers, shapes, letters, and colors, as well as telling stories.  The bible stories felt boards and figures are a great way to introduce the bible to your child.
