What Does the IE Mommy Think?:

There is a fine line between a store where you “just” buy things versus a store where you can purchase a “memory”. This is the case with Child to Cherish. Each item that they carry is a gift to your family or friends.

I was given the Child to Cherish Crayon Apron to review and instantly fell in love with it’s tribute to yester-year.

Shortly after receiving the crayon apron I was told that a friend’s daughter was bitten by her grandmother’s dog. The little girl is only 5 years old and will receive stitches and operations for quite a while to repair the damage.

We wanted to give her something that would brighten her day while she was on very limited bed rest. I instantly thought of the Crayon Apron. It was perfect…it came in a white sturdy box with a clasp and beautiful illustrations of animals.

It felt as if we were offering her a piece of her innocence back as we presented her with this gift. My eyes are watering now as I think of the response to this beautiful gift. Little Hannah immediately cherished it…she has used it daily and it has become her treasure, her place of respite and a comfort as she can create pictures and drawings of her feelings and thoughts.

I know it was initially meant to be a review for my twins but you sometimes just know when something is “meant” for another.

Child to Cherish allowed me the opportunity to present a little girl with the pure, innocence, childhood moments that were taken from her…but only briefly.
